I have been waiting for my letter for more years that I’ll admit, but I still have hope! In the meantime, why not make our own? For yourself, or for someone else, it’s a fun craft for any future Hogwarts student!

First thing first, I found a great envelope template outline by Amy Tran on Teachers Pay Teachers. (Which is an amazing website by the way, check it out for sure!).
I explored a few different options to get the right look of the paper, a few things worked but since I wanted to make many of them I found the easiest way for me. I found some brown ‘parchment’ patterned paper for the printer on Amazon. There are a lot of options on there, plus in local craft stores that sell paper, you just have to find something you like.
Next choice I needed to make was what I wanted to be printed on the envelope. (If you want a blank one then you can find the template below.)
For the project I’m working on I wanted the movie version. So, I first had to find fonts!
I picked ‘4 Privet Drive’ which I downloaded a long time ago and can't figure out from where. But here it is if you want to use it too: Font
This is probably the font that looks the best when making a custom envelope for yourself or a friend! (Also, if you don’t already have some of these, they’re fun: Wizarding World Fonts.)
Once I formatted the font onto the template I moved onto the next step. The envelope seal!
I would LOVE to play with wax seals and wax seal absolutely everything but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go that direction, at least this time. So, I already had sheets of sticker paper for my printer so I found a blank ‘red wax seal’ and put an H (for Hogwarts) nicely blended into it. I printed it and cut them out carefully.
Then I printed the template out onto my fancy paper! Folded and sealed, and magic!
Here is everything you need to make your own:
My envelopes turned out great and once I had everything the right size I wanted, which takes some trial and error. They’re a perfect addition to my project. I actually hung up my letters with fishing line to make them look like they were floating.
