I love the anime movie A Whisker Away. It warms my little cat heart! I decided I had to have the human and cat masks hanging up in my living room. They’re very simple to make!
Very important, I found reference pictures in the movie to get the general design.
Then I freehanded the design onto the blank masks. Symmetry is hard but if you take your time you can do it!
Next, I mixed the paint to get the colors I wanted to paint the designs. Another great technique is paint pens, especially for simple lines or outlines you can fill in with a brush after. Once painted and dried you can make any corrections needed.
I’m very happy with how they turned out!
